Microsoft Office: Add-In Missing from the Valcre Ribbon

The Valcre add-in enhances your experience with Valcre’s features directly in Microsoft Word and Excel. However, Microsoft Office may disable the add-in at times, often after updates or changes to your settings. This guide will walk you through the steps to re-enable the Valcre Add-in in your Office programs.

Basic Troubleshooting

Step 1: Open File Options

  • Go to File > Options.
    • Note: Depending on your display settings, this may vary. You might need to go to File > More > Options. If unsure, try both options.


 

Step 2: Manage Add-ins:

  • In the Options window, select Add-ins from the left menu. Under the Manage dropdown at the bottom, choose COM Add-ins and then click Go.

 

Step 3: Re-enable the Valcre Add-in: 

  • In the list of available add-ins, look for Valcre. Check the box next to Valcre and then select OK.

After following these steps, the add-in will show at the top of your Office program: 


 

What to do if the Valcre Ribbon still doesn’t appear? 

If the Valcre ribbon still doesn’t show at the top of your Office program after following the steps above, try the following: 

  1. Go back to  File > Options > Add-ins. From the Manage dropdown, select Disabled Items and then click Go.


     
    • If Valcre appears in the list, select it and then select Enable.

 

After enabling, restart Word and Excel to see if the Valcre ribbon appears. If the Valcre ribbon still does not appear, repeat Steps 1-3 from the start of this guide.
