Troubleshooting & FAQ

What happens after I insert the link?

Initially, you're just mapping the location in your report where data will be pulled in, along with which specific data points (like tables or charts) from your workbook. No data appears right away.

Once you select Update Selected or Update All from the Valcre ribbon, the linked data will populate in your report accordingly.

My Valuation Workbook won’t load. What do I do?  This usually means the wrong file was selected. Try reloading the Valuation Workbook, making sure you’ve selected the correct file by choosing Change File from the Linked Files drop-down in the Valcre ribbon.
The link is not showing up in my report. What should I check?  It might be that your cursor is placed somewhere else in the report, and that is where the links are being inserted. Please make sure to place your insertion point exactly where you want to insert your links.
How do I know if a link is properly inserted?  The link will show in the report, and you will be able to sync them.
Can I add multiple links from different workbooks?  Absolutely! This can also be achieved by copying and pasting links from other Word reports. Additionally, we have the following guide on how to link multiple Excel Workbooks to your Word report.
