Excel Tips: Modifying Dropdown Cells

There may be an instance where you need to enter a custom value that may not be available within a dropdown.

The below instructions will run you through how to do this:

1. Select the desired cell in which you'd like to modify. Then, navigate to the Data menu within Excel and select 'Data Validation'.

2. Next, you'll see a pop-up window appear. Here you'll need to select 'Yes'.

3. Then, from the Data Validation window, you can select 'Any Value' from the Allow list. Next, hit 'OK'.

4. Now when you click into your modified cell, you should now be able to manually type in your desired value.
