Valuation Workbook: Using the Fannie Mae DUS sheet

To meet Fannie Mae's 2025 appraisal compliance requirements, Valcre now offers a Fannie Mae DUS worksheet. This tool simplifies generating the Appraisal XML file, helping you identify and complete the required fields with ease. Once finished, you can export the Appraisal XML file directly from Valcre and upload it to Fannie Mae’s DUS Data Digitizer.

Prerequisites 

  1. Subscription Tier: Professional or Enterprise
  2. Version: Workbook 1.6.0 or more recent and Add-In 2.0.9.0 or more recent
  3.  Completed Workbook: Enabling the Fannie Mae DUS worksheet is one of the last steps in the workbook. 

Step 1: Complete the workbook.

Step 2: In the Valcre ribbon, select the Export drop-down then select Fannie Mae DUS. 

This will add the Fannie Mae DUS sheet after the HOME sheet to your workbook and pre-fill any sections with information already added. 

  • Note: No data is being brought directly into this sheet from Valcre Online, it is being brought into this sheet from other areas of the workbook. This is why you want to add the Fannie Mae DUS sheet after completing the workbook. Pre-loading will result in missing information and needing to re-enter data a second time inside the workbook. 

Step 3: In the Subject Property table, enter the appropriate information in the fields outlined in red. Fannie Mae requires these fields to be filled out for the DUS Data Digitizer to accept your XML file. Once information has been added to these sheets, the red outline will cease to persist. 

Step 4: In the Valuations, Comparables, and Comparable Units tables below, review all yellow fields for accuracy. If information is missing, add as applicable. 

Step 5: Select Export at the top of this sheet and follow the onscreen prompts to save the Appraisal XML file. 

Step 6: Upload the Appraisal XML to your Fannie Mae’s DUS Data Digitizer. If you are unsure how to deliver this to Fannie Mae, please contact them directly at : DUS_Data_Digitizer@fanniemae.com.
