Hospitality: Using the Datasets Sheet

The current market statistics and the names and locations of the hotels identified for the primary set are here. Much of this information has been pre-populated when you completed the Room Builder sheet. 

This guide will cover using the Data Sets sheet in your Hospitality Workbook.

Prerequisites

How-to Guide

After completing the Room Builder sheet, much of the data needed here has already been populated. Additionally, you will have to import the Competitive Set Name List (accompanies the Competitive Set Report) to this sheet.

Current Market Statistics

This table will populate using the data imported to your Market Profile sheet and from the Competitive Set Report imported to the Room Night Builder sheet.

Step 1: Review the table and fill in any additional information required. 

The Market and Submarket data populate from the Market Profile sheet, and the Primary Set and Subject data will populate from the Room Night Builder sheet.

If you will be including an additional asset, enter the name in the Subject 2 field.

Subject’s Primary Data Set

Populate this table with the Competitive Set Name List that accompanies the Competitive Set Report export.  

Step 1: Select Import Comp Names and select your Competitive Set One Name List from the File Explorer window.
Step 2: Update the %Comp values for each property in your Primary Set (if needed)
Step 3: Repeat this process to import additional Competitive Set Name Lists for your Competitive Set Two and Secondary Set (if needed)

Step 4: Select Click Here to Hide Unused Rows to clean up your tables.


 

Add the table to your Report

Step 1: Once in your Report, place the cursor in the area where you wish to add these tables. 

Step 2: Add the tables to your Report. 

If these tables are not already in your Report, use the link name below the tables to insert them using the Insert Link feature in the Valcre Ribbon.

  • Current Market Statistics: HMA_Summary
  • Subject’s Competitive Set One: HMA_DataSet1Summary
  • Subject’s Competitive Set Two: HMA_DataSet2Summary
  • Secondary Data Set: HMA_2ndDataSetSummary

 

 

Once you have completed all necessary information in the Datasets sheet, you can move on to the Competitive Set Trends sheet in the Hospitality Workbook.
