The PwC Sheet allows you to seamlessly import PwC Investor Survey market data into your Valcre workbook for use in your valuations, reports, and analysis. It supports both manual uploads and automated imports via the PwC US API, streamlining data integration and eliminating the need for repetitive manual entry.

Prerequisites

  1. Valcre Subscription: Professional or Enterprise
  2. PwC Market Data Access: PwC US Investor Survey Market data imported via the PwC US API
  3. PwC API key must be added to Valcre by your Client Success Manager.
  4. Workbook version: 1.6.2.0 or higher
  5. Add-in version: 2.0.10.0 or higher

 


Enabling and Accessing the PwC sheet

Enable PwC Sheet

When setting up your workbook on the HOME sheet, select any module with Income or enable DCF.

Access PwC Sheet
Open the PwC sheet by selecting PWC from the bottom navigation menu.

Using the PwC sheet

Step 1: Import PwC US data using the Import button in the Valcre ribbon.

Step 2: Set up Summary Charts

  • Select the preferred market in the drop-down to bring in the applicable data for the summary charts.
  • Select submarkets for
    • Overall Capitalization Rate
    • Discount Rate
    • Residual Capitalization Rate

Step 3: Set up the remaining PwC charts

  • Select the number of PwC Markets to include in all remaining charts
  • Using the drop-down, select each Market to include in all remaining charts

Linking PwC sheet tables and charts in your Valuation Report

Step 1: Sync your workbook and valuation report

Step 2:  Insert the charts/tables in one of two options:

  1. In your report, place the cursor where you want the table or chart to appear.
  2. In the Valcre Ribbon, select Insert Links and choose the named link range you want.
  3. Once all charts and tables have been added. Highlight their links in the report and select Update Selected.

  • Highlight the link(s) in the report you want to update.
  • Select Update Selected to refresh.

  • Option B: Copy/Paste
    1. In the valuation workbook, copy the chart(s).
    2. Paste them directly into the preferred spot in your report.
    3. If you update the charts in the workbook, you’ll need to repeat the copy/paste step to refresh the report.

FAQ’s 

Q: What if I want to use multiple markets in the summary charts?

A: Pull in the data for each market. Then, either:

  • Copy/paste the chart into your report, or
  • Use Insert Links for the first chart, then repeat the process for each additional market you’d like to add.
Q: Can I use the PwC sheet if I don’t have the PwC API? A: No. The PwC sheet only works with the PwC API. If you’d like to use it, you will need the API key from PwC. Learn more about PwC US's subscriptions here.
Q: The PwC sheet becomes available with the income approach when setting up the workbook. What if I don’t want it in my report? A: Simply hide the PwC sheet (do not delete it). Hidden charts and tables will not sync into your report.
